REAL Upward Bound at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, seeks an
academic counselor. Bachelor's degree in counseling, education or related
field required. English/Spanish proficiency as well as the ability to translate
English to Spanish strongly preferred. Master's degree in counseling,
education, or a related field preferred. Experience counseling students
concerning personal, academic, career, financial, graduation and college
placement/transition issues is required. Applicants must demonstrate an
ability to develop, plan, organize, and implement activities related to
secondary and post-secondary completion.

Must demonstrate proficiency in written/verbal communication, organizational
skills, and ability to develop and implement programs for adolescents.
Must have experience working with youth and possess knowledge and
experience with technology, learning skills development, post-secondary
admissions requirements and other supportive services. Applicants must
have the ability to create/implement programs committed to academic
excellence, diversity, student success and retention.
