Millsaps College
Jackson, MS

The Board of Trustees and Presidential Search Committee of Millsaps College
invite applications and nominations for the position of President. Millsaps
College is a nationally ranked, selective undergraduate liberal arts college
of 1200 students located on 100 beautiful acres in the heart of Jackson,
the capital of Mississippi - a progressive southern metropolitan city of nearly
half a million population with substantial educational resources in government,
law, medicine, the arts, religion, and business. Founded in 1890, Millsaps is
highly regarded for the quality and distinctiveness of its academic programs,
its first-class faculty, its engaged, talented students and the percentage of
alumni/ae who attend graduate school. Diverse, dedicated, intellectual, and
hard working, Millsaps students play an active role in shaping their education
and their future.

Throughout its history the college has sought to create programs that set
it apart from ordinary institutions, by constantly making and reinforcing
the connection between academic pursuits and the real world. Its Faith
and Work Initiative, funded through the Lilly Endowment, allows students
to explore their personal and professional futures as they relate to issues
of ethics, values, faith and the common good. The college's 4,000 acre
biocultural reserve in Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula provides a living laboratory
and national model for interdisciplinary studies. Long recognized as a leader
in pre-medical education, Millsaps also offers a five-year MBA program
through its AACSB accredited business school, a Ford Teaching Fellowship
Program, a competitive athletics program, and other unique opportunities
for faculty and student engagement. For more information on the college,

A point of pride for the region and the only nationally ranked private liberal
