an intimate, international and interdisciplinary undergraduate setting.
This is a full-time position that reports directly to the Director of Student Affairs.

This is an exciting opportunity to become involved in the development of the
residence system in a new university, with responsibilities ranging from policy
-making to working directly with students in a variety of student affairs areas.
The primary area of responsibility will be in the development and implementation
of policies and operations in the two condo-style residence buildings on the
Quest University Canada campus, which will grow over the next five years
to include more residence buildings.

Duties will include overseeing residence facilities and operations; ensuring that
the residence experience is adding value and depth to the curricular and
co-curricular experience at Quest University Canada through creative
programming; developing Orientation sessions and methods to promote
an atmosphere of community within the residences; planning for future
residence expansion; performing other duties within Student Affairs areas
as required, and covering all Student Affairs areas when the Director
is unavailable.

A graduate degree in Education, Student Affairs, Counseling/Psychology, or
a closely-related area is required, as well as at least two years of experience
in managing residence life and residence facilities in a post-secondary institution:
it is desirable for this experience to have been in a liberal arts and sciences
setting. The successful applicant will have knowledge of the needs of
undergraduate students and a proven ability to work effectively with students,
student leaders, and staff.

Experience, training, and skills in other Student Affairs areas, including
counseling and international student support, is highly desirable. The
successful applicant must be willing and able to live in private accommodations
within the Student Residence buildings and to provide ‘on call’ coverage for
at least one year.

All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadian citizens
and permanent residents will be given priority. Quest University Canada
respects and encourages diversity.
